We got a sneak peek at the upcoming 1:18 GT Spirit Aston Martin V8 Vantage in Aston Martin Racing Green 1993. Definitely a unique piece and possibly the first time in 1:18 scale? This model is undergoing final approval from the licensor.

Very nice! Great colour combination too.
Yes, definitely “the first time in 1:18 scale.” With that said, the “licensor” Aston Martin, has never been known for truly knowing what is and is not correct, same as Ferrari and all other car manufacturers these days, they are just happy when you agree to their fees and pay them.
I actually had a discussion with a former head of licensing of one of the American Big Three-manufacturers concerning this topic and he absolutely confirmed what you just said. He’s very passionate about the brand and hobby but usually these jobs are occupied by people that have little to no idea about the details of their own companies’ cars. I don’t really get it because at least the job of the guy that overlooks the samples could be given to an aficinado but apparently that’s rather unusual and this is probably a big reason why you find blatant errors sometimes even on upscale models from AutoArt for example.
Finally the 1993 Aston Martin V8 Vantage arrives in 1/18! I have been waiting for a very long time for this.. A very distinctive, beautiful, classy and diachronic car, in my opinion, that I can finally add to my collection.
I think that Cult Scale Models might have already produced a similar version of this, but the GT Spirit version is clearly the better choice in this case.
Cult Scale produced the original standard Virage. Substantially different than this later car, which I also like better.
Indeed, the Cult version was the standard Virage, you are absolutely right.
Now we just need the Le Mans variant!
Is this miniature available to buy?
Not yet. Connect with our fine site sponsors to pre-order. Cheers!
Superb car, maybe the wheels are a bit too smal
Have just received mine from China. This model is FAULTLESS – and I don’t just mean at this price point – I mean faultless, period. The shape is perfect, and all the details inside and out are spot-on (including the wheel and tyre size).
Yes I agree. I have also bought one, it is a gorgeous model car and for the standards of GT Spirit, it is also a very nice crafted and detailed model car. We are lucky to have one, as only 999 pieces have been made and it is almost sold out on Ebay and at most retailers.
