This is something BBR should’ve done with their 499P Le Mans winning release: FULLY OPENING DIECAST

True, this VW Golf sized Ferrari is an odd choice for an all open model, just as this “Ferrari Golf Gti” is rather odd. It would have made more sense to manufacture the Alfa Romeo GTA and GTAm all open, but that was left to Motorhelix who won’t disappoint in quality either.
It is common practice in the industry to first exploit the market potential for sealed resin before, if ever, an all open comes along. And that seems to be done deliberately on purpose. Anyone having bought the sealed model may well feel cheated, when the all open is announced. BBR is just one case where this is most obvious with one manufacturer doing both under the same brand name. With tbe Alfa, it may not even be competition but coordination within a cartel. I get the impression that all open versions are deliberately held back until the sealed market potential is exhausted. Same with Kyosho’s and Almost Real’s Lara Croft Land Rover. And the list goes on.

Fool then, who has bought the sealed model (or more sealed as the cheeky AMG One by NZG vs Kiloworks), at least in most cases. At least this is what I have felt in the past. Anyone else?

Ok, not *Golf-sized* at all, but SUV sized to compete with Lambo Urus and Maserati Levante, Alfa Stelvio etc , but the rest is true.
