The blue 300sl is looking nice. I’d love to see a review of the silver 1/18 version to see how it stacks up against the old Minichamps release.

  2. Pier Paolo says:

It seems to me that the 300 SL is a replica of the Premium Classixxs model. Notice the suitcase behind the rear window …

I agree with Pier Paolo. Seems like they got hold of the Premium Classixxs tooling. And thatgoes for both the 300Sl and for the G model 911s.
By the way isn’t there a 300SL in 1:18 supposedly coming from Schuco? It was in last year catalogue, but then it wasn’t released, and I feel like the photos and renderings they used that time were indeed of the 1:12 Model Classixxs version with their single knock off on the wheels. While the photos they put in the 2022 Catalogue should be of the actual 1:18 300SL, Will it finally be released in 2022?

Agreed. We believe the entire assortment is from PC, though we definitely don’t have too many complaints. Definitely a welcomed addition, all.

Yup those look to be the Premium ClassiXXs Cars- not surprising, as Schuco & Premium ClassiXXs are both part of the Simba Dickie group. FWIW, I have the 300SL & 911, and they are both very nice.

    Poor quality
