    RELEASE THE MODELS!!!!!

  2. Karsten says:

I agree: So far it´s much ado about nothing, really. A dinosaur´s announcement footprint, a mouse´s release toeprint. If all these go on sale this year, I´ll eat my hat.

  3. MLB says:

That is an extremely ambitious list.

  4. Roberto says:

    Zonda please!!

Sorry guys but your criticism and scepticism is totally unjustified. AR have delivered on everything that they said they would, so far. They’ve released a large number of 1/43s already. Everything in 1/18 on that list is either released in another colour (Range Rover, G500, Maybach) or has been shown in a near-finished form. They also have a ton of experience making models for other brands, so will know better than anyone what is involved.
There’s no reason to doubt that AR will achieve these goals, unless you’re judging them on Autoart or TSM’s level of release date BS.

I’m going to bet that Karsten will need a new hat ;-)

    • Karsten says:

Not if you read my post properly: Or do you really believe that all of these will be on sale within the next 7 months ??? Just look back at when the Mulsanne was announced and then look at when they have started to announce the Paganis. The newly announced models are years away from being on sale.

      • spikyone says:

Yeah, I read it. AR have shown virtually all of those models in near-production form and have yet to miss any of their announced release dates as far as I can tell. None of those are new announcements, they were all mentioned before.
I stand by what I said. Lots of unjustified cynicism. Come back to this in December and I’ll gladly admit if I was wrong, but the scepticism (not just from you) is unfounded.

        • Karsten says:

I have followed some of these closely from day one with anticipation and have a Mulsanne Grand Limousine on pre-order for over a year, joined by a Camel Trophy Land Rover, the AMG GTR and the Jaguar XF. Don´t get me wrong, I´d gladly be wrong with my scepticism, but we´ve been seeing models in near-production- form for a very long time without them being released. And the Bentaygas sadly seem to have vanished altogehter.

Objectively, here’s how the list breaks down:

    – Range Rover (4 colours) – just a repaint, certain to be a 2018 release
    – Land Rover Defender 90 (3 versions) – other versions already released, near certain to be a 2018 release
    – Land Rover Defender 110 (2 versions) – other versions already released, near certain to be a 2018 release
    – Jaguar C-X75 – shown in grey-ware at Nuremberg. Depends how far along the tooling is.
    – Mercedes-Maybach S-class 2016 (3 colours) – already being listed on eBay, certain to be a 2018 release
    – Mercedes Benz G500 4×4² (3 colours) – already released in China (red version), certain to be a 2018 release
    – Mercedes-AMG GT R – already shown in near-production form
    – Bentley Mulsanne Speed – already shown in near-production form
    – Bentley Mulsanne – already shown in near-production form
    – Bentley Mulsanne Grand Limousine – already shown in near-production form
    – McLaren P1 GTR (3 colours) – already shown in near-production form
    – Pagani Huayra Roadster (2 colours) – shown in grey-ware at Nuremberg. Depends how far along the tooling is.
    – Pagani Zonda F – not yet seen, AFAIK
    – Brabus 900 Mercedes-Maybach S600 (2 colours) – likely to use similar tooling to the non-Brabus, very likely to release in 2018
    – Brabus Adventure 500 Mercedes G500 4×4 (2 colours) – likely to use similar tooling to the non-Brabus, very likely to release in 2018

For those Brabus models, AR may even be able to use tooling that allows them to produce both Brabus and standard versions by swapping inserts. From that entire list, the only ones in any doubt are the Zonda (least likely to come this year), the Huayra, and the C-X75. We’ll see at least 90% of that list this year.

    • Karsten says:

DECEMBER and my hat´s absolutely safe. Only the S-Class, the Range Rover and the Land Rover Camel Trophy are released (not in Europe, though), none of the Mulsannes, no AMG, Brabus or McLaren. Was my scepticism unjustified or do I know AR well enough?

  7. Aaron says:

What a shame that the 1/18 McLaren P1’s and Jaguars are still not released yet. I’ll bet Almost Real still has no ETA on their releases
