The AUTOart Zonda R is benchmark, one of the all-time-best models. “Can this one surpass the AUTOart effort?” That Almost Real CAN do that is beyond any trace of doubt, whether they really WILL (or cut corners) and at what price (I paid 200€ for the AUTOart back in the day) remains to be seen.
But where´s the Huayra Roadster AR announced? Cancelled???

    • DS Team says:

And if they succeed people will complaint it cost too much :D

    • Marcel171281 says:

Thought the Huayra R was announced by AA and LCD, not AR?

    • Mike Wiseman says:

I know everyone praises Autoart for the zonda r but in my opinion they dropped the ball with the finish on the carbon body. The blue carbon especially. That semi matte sheen ruins what would have possibly been a perfect model. As long as almost real gives them the beautiful high gloss coat over the carbon fiber it will already surpass Autoart

  2. Mike Wiseman says:

I just pray they make the carbon blue version of the zonda R. There sample of the zonda tricolore proves they are capable. I want one so much but no way I’m paying the current asking price for the Autoart

  3. Richard says:

Really, the will go back to making 1:43? I have not seen an new Almost Real model in 1:43 scale in 2 years. Did they announce what models there will be in 1:43?

  4. Amin says:

That would be great for pagani fans but why every Almost real , LCD and Polar master are going to produce Zonda R at nearly same time?
    any body knows?
may be they all colaborating with each other!

    • Mozzi says:

I used to think that LCD and Almost Real collaborate with each other, at least on the Zondas. But when comparing the LCD Zonda Barchetta with the AR Zonda F, their engines and other parts have completely different sizes and proportions. LCD’s Barchetta is an amazing model and it is definitely at the same level as the AR (save for some QC issues on random pieces). So I don’t know which one is more accurate, but they are definitely different and are not based on any collab.
I am personally more interested in their Pagani offerings that have not been done before. Like the Coda Lunga, Huayra R, Imola and Utopia. Also after AR released Cinque and Cinque Roadster, I am sure that the Zonda F Roadster is coming too. And judging by their Range Rover / G-wagon offerings, they will release every variation of the Zonda in every color of the rainbow. Because let’s face it – from the Zonda F , Cinque and Roadster you pretty much have all the parts to build the million “exclusive one-offs” Pagani made, with some very minimal detail differences.

Only my opinion, I don’t think LCD can be on par with AR. I have owned both the Barchetta HP made by LCD and the Zonda Cinque roadster made by AR, and I noticed many differences. You can clearly see it when looking at the interior. LCD’s interior feels quite plastic, while AR+ has done an excellent job simulating the car’s materials. Next is the engine – LCD performs better than AR+ in the exhaust part, but the entire engine system from AR is much more beautifully finished. If we dive into the finer details like the belts, AR has made them from leather, and you can thread them into the buckle just like a real car. The rivets on the LCD car’s spoiler are too large… But don’t get me wrong, both are amazing cars. The carbon finish on the car’s body is done equally well. With the competition between these two brands, I think in the future, no one will want to own an AA car with its sky-high prices anymore.
