Alternative to Expensive Amalgam, HC Models

This brand just hit our radar, welcome HC Models.  A French brand specializing in unique, resin and sealed, low-production, 1:8 – 1:18 scale models.  They may be under the Z Model umbrella of companies (which includes GT Spirit/OttOmobile) but this is yet to be confirmed.  The current production model includes a limited of the 1:8 Alpine F1, Esteban Ocon car.  Previous releases include the 1:8 Bad Boys Porsche 964 Turbo 3.6, the 1:8 Ferrari F40 LM Argento Nuerburgring Met 1989, the 1:8 Ferrari F40 LM Schwarz 1989 and the 1:8 Ferrari F40 LM GoodyeAR 0123 Rosso Corsa 1989 Cars.  Interiors look average, in comparison to high-end manufacturer Amalgam, but the retail price of  ~$2200 CND mark is much more attractive.

  1. Atalante says:

These are designed and made in France by Mini-Express (Otto, GT Spirit) since 2022. They are more expensive that those made in China but craftmanship is supposed to be a notch higher and and they’re locally made.

  2. Tom says:

From 1/18 to 1/8… they ask more than twice the price of the regular GT Spirit production models for the same molds / tooling in a different color.

  3. Marcel171281 says:

Must be GT Spirit/Ottomobile for sure, the quarter glass on the F40 is already coming loose at the top.
