Amalgam Lamborghini Miura P400 SV (1971)

Forty-eight years later this beauty still challenges the test of time. The Lamborghini Miura P400 SV 1971 is still looking as gorgeous as ever. The team at Amalgam have placed their spin on this classic, they offer it in 1:8 scale. At north of 11,000US model does mirror the original well but no access to the front section, come on Amalgam. A display case is included as well.

About the Lamborghini Miura P400 SV …  “The Miura was the first supercar produced by the Italian Bull and was, arguably, the first supercar the world had ever seen. When it was launched it was met with surprise and wonder by onlookers, resembling no other car in the history of motoring. Its iconic lines are due, in part, to the placement of the engine, which was mounted transversely behind the passenger cabin. Its V12, 3,929cc engine with Weber twin-choke carburettors, was capable of 385 brake horsepower, driven by five-speed manual transmission and the car featured independent front and rear suspensions.

The SV is the final version of the Muira produced and its boasts numerous improvements on the P400S that came before it, the most notable of which are better handling thanks to a revised suspension, wider rear bodywork and a superior engine due to larger carburettors and different cam timing. Its muscular looks combine a sensuality which led to the Miura becoming a poster child for up and coming petrolheads the world over. A distinctive design cue is the shape of the doors, which supposedly modelled the horns of a raging bull.”

    Will be 1:8 not 1:18 :->

    Those photos are definitely of their big 1:8 scale model, which was announced last year…. not new, and as mentioned, the front end is sealed closed.

    Looking at images of their 1:18 scale piece on their web site….you can easily see nothing opens, and that the level of detail/accuracy of some parts such as window trim are poor – sub standard.
