You can’t compare what a model cost today vs. what it cost 10 years back, however you can comment on the overall execution in comparsion.

I was really looking forward to the Mac 720s GT3, thought it would be fully opening, now it is sealed. This is a trend from AA and they are slowly making more and more sealed models. I think I know where this is going.

Too bad for them my friend, we won’t buy them and they’ll have choices to make, either get back to their roots or their pockets will start hurting. Both ways we are on the winning side, we have brands like Almost Real who are just starting, Kyosho are getting back to diecast with openings. Some people need more time to learn which way the wind is blowing. ;)

I remember reading an article many years back.. the boss of AUTOart then, a Mr. Jimmy something, proudly made a statement that Aa will never make a sealed model car.. of course they have said many things since then and most of ‘em have become bare statements now.. empty with no substance…

Autoart is dropping the ball big time, sealed models, lack of details and raised prices? Think we definitely need to stop consuming their products and give them a taste of what could happen if they continue to create half-a$$ed models. Sick of it.

  4. Mir says:

I think even that sealed model is ok for me, if the exterior details are good and price is adequate. Usually I don’t like to open something of the model instead like to see exterior design. But I don’t like to buy resin models that has film for wind shield and high price even though the silicon mold is very cheap.
