AUTOart Porsche 911 (991.2) GT3 RS Weissach Package (UPDATE)

AUTOart has lifted the cover on another exterior option for their 1:18 composite and opening Porsche 911 (991.2) GT3 RS Weissach Package. This one features Lava Orange with Black wheels.  We like the look, more bold colour options might yield more sales.  Let’s go!

Too much black but still 991.2 GT3 RS is the best looking modern 911 imho. Keep fingers crossed for AutoArt

Agreed, the black parts hide the details in scaled car models. But this same car without the Weissach Package is coming out too, should have painted hood and roof. I`m just curious to see of we`ll get a non black wheels.

Look at 911 (991) R 2016 and its colourful straps. This is how paintings should be applicated imho. Weissach is sad and boring I’ afraid

Problem is if it hasn’t got spoilers, canards, huge pointy edges, is low to the ground, huge wheels, LW kit with Hello Kitty livery and carbon fibre kids won’t buy it. The whole hobby panders around the taste of the kids, when the main demographic percentage wise is on the older spectrum. Carbon for the kids is what chrome was for the boomers, everything has to have it everywhere in huge amounts. And the brands that are reproduced are G-class (G-wagon as they call it for some reason), Lamborghini (with yet another version of the aventador) and Koenigssssssegggg. God forbid for some older cars and a little diversity.

If you’re talking exclusively about 1:18 scale, I don’t agree that this hobby is targeted toward kids. I’d agree if we were talking about Hot Wheels mainline, but 1:18 models are too expensive and too fragile for children. And even within the adult community, there are options for every taste: from a Hello Kitty RWB to an all‑black Rolls‑Royce. That’s the beauty of this hobby, there’s room for everyone.
