AUTOart’s Re-Released Toyota 2000GT 1967 (UPDATE)

** UPDATE ** We bumped this thread as AUTOart has unveiled photos of the Silver and Red exterior.  Both are due in August 2025.

More re-release news from AUTOart as the team is planning the return of the 1:18 composite and opening Toyota 2000GT 1967 replicas.  Based on history, the model is quite capable.  Coming in Summer 2025 are Silver and White, pictured here with additional Gold and others.  What’s up with this recent wave of re-releases by AUTOart?  So many models announced that are years in the making…

That Toyota looks like a really nice model by AUTOart, and I’ll probably get one; either color is fine. I’m with you, though, as I can’t understand why AUTOart’s newly announced models take years to come out! For example, they announced a current-model Dodge Charger sometime last year. I’d really like to get one of those, but who knows how long I’ll have to wait for it? Hopefully it will be available while I’m still alive!

Someone at AutoArt must really love this car. It’s already the 4th re-release of the coupé! Seems like they again have developed the model further though, compared to the first composite release panel gaps (especially pop-up lights and trunk) seem much tighter. The diecast versions, although fantastically nice models, unfortunately were off in shape.
Really tempted by the gold one!

Also, LCD presented some greywear prototype of the 2000GT some time ago. Anyone knows what happened to those plans?
