BBR Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta – Yellow Three Layer

Another option from BBR from the diecast and opening series finds the 1:18 Ferrari LaFerrari Aperta in exterior Yellow Three Layer. This one features Silver wheels and a Black interior with Yellow stitch work.  Production here is limited to a low 60 units.  On a side note, the execution here in our opinion is much better than the recently released Maserati MC20.

Could you provide more details: what exactly is better in the LaFerrari model and where the MC20 one is weaker?

Interesting, I saw a stellar review of MC20 and general disappointment around the LaFerrari. Is the Aperta any different from the coupe in terms of fit & finish, panel gaps, paint quality and such?

P.S. Giallo Tristrato sounds much better than Yellow Three Layer, please don’t translate it ;)

Again, these are our impressions of seeing all 3 firsthand.

Hi, I tried registering to the forums so I could read the topic you’ve provided but the form keeps returning ‘invalid answer to the question’. Shall I email you guys for ‘password’ *prior* to filling the form? It’s honestly the most confusing and unclear form I’ve stumbled upon in a long time and it’s just forums…

Hmm, I’ve had a chance to hold the BBR 1:18 MC20 in grey-metal color in my hands.

This model uses thin metal, similar to e.g. AutoArt 1:18 Lambo Gallardo Superleggera, so it does not feel as solid as BBR 1:18 LaFerrari that has more weight. The exterior of the MC20 is pretty accurate and pretty detailed and looks close to AutoArt’s composite line. But it does not feel and operate as flimsy as plastic parts in AutoArt.
The engine (motor) details are actually better than it looks on photos or videos: there are more cables and tubes in fact.
        The interior is pretty good.

The only strange/bad thing is the complete absense of the motor between the back wheels. I mean, if they did not want to provide some good-looking detail, they could have added at least a non-transparent black rectangle to at least hide this fact.
Also, I have an impression that the side Maseratti emblems (near the doors) may unglue. But it may be only my impression.
