BBR Return to Diecast: Ferrari SFH-16 GP Australia

After many years of resin models the team at BBR is set to release their first diecast model in years.  The 1:18 Ferrari SFH-16 GP Australia, driven by K. Raikkonen will be the first.  The complete list of what we know is coming is shown below.  This could possibly lead to street cars too, and hopefully a return to diecast metal with opening parts?  Only time will tell.  The first diecast pieces are due in early 2017.

I really hope they do, because I’m desperately looking for some of my favorite Ferrari die-cast models right now that basically no manufacturers can provide at a reasonable price point.
I also still want to hold back and see how Bburago progresses further down the road because there are still rooms left for improvement, but looking at their current effort I can say they are obviously heading into the right way, and they really need to match the values of the earlier Hot Wheels Elite models, and bring some fresh air into the ever-dwindling 1:18 die-cast segment.
This is probably not going to happen, but once again, I hope they re-release their Ferrari Enzo Ferrari (F60), because that’s one of my most favorite Ferrari cars, and correspondingly, one of my highest-priority Ferrari models on the wishlist.

    Bucking the trend!

I love this move! Real metal diecast FTW. I just hope that BBR also choose to make the _nice_ Ferrari F1 cars such as the Michael Schumacher era Ferraris, and later ones too from 2007 to 2013, before we entered the ghastly looking cars of the turbo-hybrid era.

That’s right, bring back the F1 models from the golden age of F1 where high-displacing naturally-aspirated V12s and V10s dominate the scene, and their godly sounds that will melt the hearts and souls of every F1 enthusiasts.
