I have allso seen that Bburago will make the Ferrari SF90 Stradale in the Signature Series and release it 1Q 2021

Oh deary me, Same old rubbish from Bburago. We as collectors and enthusiasts are fed up with Bburago and their complete and utter lack of creativity and variety when it come to Ferrari. Really am fed up with this nonsense and I wish that we could go back to the Hot Wheels Elite days when they produced Ferrari.

I could not agree any more that Bburago are a complete and utter waste when it comes to Ferrari. Since bburago have had the licence, they have produced nothing decent of note. Ferrari have a rich heritage as we all know both in road and racing automobiles and it is being wasted away with Bburago. Ferrari could give the licence to the likes of Norev to produce great quality at an affordable price. Could you imagine how many more units would be sold if models were produced of quality and variety. Not a lot to ask for is it? But I think that Burago being an Italian company of heritage, but not any more seeing that they are now Chinese made…like the ions share of the model market is, maybe that is why Ferrari wants to hang onto the last thread of Italian heritage for their brand. They couldn’t be any more wrong. How I miss Hot Wheels Elite!

I suppose it’s just a matter of the license goes to the higher bidder. Nothing to do with the fact that Burago once was an italian toy cars maker. What is really bad is that Maisto\Burago are not just cheap, they look more like toys rather than collectors items. Norev while being in the lower end of the market is just on another planet compared to Maisto/Burago.

    • Evert Delanoye says:

I don’t think it’s on Bburago, but rather on Ferrari itself. I have some very decent recent Bburago models like the Bugatti Divo and Lamborghini Sian that’re very good given the price range they’re in. Even their Ferrari FXX EVO is more than decent. Those definitely aren’t toys and they’re better than some models twice the price. The fact that they make their models in diecast with all opening parts for these prices really raises questions how they’re able to do this, given the fact that almost everything comes from China, so there’s no disadvantage for the other brands. I think they would be better if they made the models sealed, because more often than not it’s the low detail engines that make them look like toys.
On the Ferrari issue, what models do they have to make? Hot Wheels Elite has done a great job on many Ferrari models from the past, so there’s no use in releasing those for Bburago. All the great Ferrari race cars from the past are also available in scale models, so Bburago has to count on what the Maranello factory does next. But it’s Ferrari itself that’s releasing more and more ‘toy cars’ to sell to their rich customers, like this SP1 and SP2. And their recent racing history isn’t that much to be proud of either (except for their BOP Le Mans GTE win). I’m pretty sure the SF90 Stradale will be worth it when Bburago releases it. But for the more interesting models that can compete with the past glory, Ferrari will have to come up with something better themselves.

Only Italians can do justice to Ferrari models…no one else does

  8. Andy says:

  9. Lykan Hypersutra says:

So What Happened To 1:18 Ferrari SF90 Stradale Signature Edition (18-16911)? It Should Be For Sale in Q2 2021. We Were Even Able To Pre-Order This Model Last December From Modelauto18 But Now It’s Gone. Was It Canceled Or What?
