  1. A roll over hoop on a Jaguar C type?

  2. Karsten says:

Oooh, yesss! What a beast this grand 600 Pullman Merc will be. Book … me … in!

  3. flathead says:

The MB Pullman has been done by AA and Sun Star. The Jac XK-C was done by AA. Of course, the CMC versions will be much better, but why not offer some new stuff?

Aston Martin DBR-1 – folks have been asking CMC to produce this for years
How about some American cars CMC?
    1956-7 Corvette
Lincoln Continental Mk I and II, coupe and convertible

    to name a few…

    • Karsten says:

What I would really want to see CMC making is a red Routemaster London Bus in 1/18. I know that Sun Star has them, but in 1/24. I know they´d be HUGE and cost a fortune. But given what they did with the race transporters, a doubledecker bus by CMC would be a sure winner.

      • flathead says:

That would be a fascinating piece, with many liveries and variants possible, If they don’t try to cheap out with parts like the solid plastic grilles that were provided on the transporters.

  4. Amhlaoibh says:

I’m starting saving now. I hope it gets working curtains . Probably the oddest thing I’ll ever say

  5. Karsten says:

The Pullman will be Model of the Year . Mark my words!

  6. NLB says:

Not exciting for me. Another model of a 600 Pullman…. really? Ferrari’s are done better by BBR, more of a selection, and overall more accurate than CMC. The BBR models do have problems, but overall they represent the Ferrari’s better. With that said, certainly, the nod goes to CMC if you want a model with opening panels.

Do they know what the meaning of the word research is? Showing an early rough sample with a glaringly wrong part that was never on any C-Type when they raced is just stupid. IF…. they produce it more correctly, which they probably will, then I might buy one. But why make, and then show such a rank amateur mistake at the beginning?

    • Atalante says:

Yes once in a while we need a classic Ferrari with opening bits, detailed engine, chassis and whatnot !!! A refreshing change from BBR resins even if I have no doubt their overall shape are better.

By the way the roll over hoop on the C-type is a handle. Purposely built LOL.

  7. Ollie says:

I wonder why so much hype about the Pullman. Yes the Autoart was a very nicely executed model of the real thing, but had it not sold out and now been selling for a fortune due to the scarcity, would there be such great pent up demand? I just wonder if it’s just the rarity of the Autoart driving demand rather than a genuine desire for a model of this car. Personally, while I don’t doubt the real thing has some “presence”, imho it’s a long way from the leaderboard of the world’s most attractive and desirable cars.

  8. Robert says:

Oh yes, the one I’ve been waiting for! A proper Ferrari 275 GTB!!

  9. All of these choices are cars that I’ve had lust for at one time or another . This because I’m of an age where these were the cars from that era when my love of automotive’s was in that stage of my development when I was dreaming large and driving anything I could afford that let me keep dreaming…….An example of what i mean is ,I loved the simple square and boxy lines of Mercedes late 60s to mid 70s. This was a huge contrast from the swoopy muscularity of the 300SL’s and 50s Ferrari’s and Maserati’s. SO I bought a 71 MB 250 C ! That allowed me to look down the Hood shared by so many Benz’s of that era I tell you all this because 1, I talk too much and 2 because I’ve wanted in particular THE AUTOART MB 600 since I first saw it , the incredible simple elegance of that giant in reality and in 1/18 both, lit a fire in me. A car built for the Autobahn that could quietly
cruise at a 100 mph all day long taking heads of industry ,presidents and Prime ministers to their destinations……..The model built by Autoart anyone watching knows can’t be purchased if it’s in decent condition for anything under $800 and often a good deal more !! It’s one of those diecasts that everyone who wanted it didn’t buy it at the time cuz , it was priced in that 1st wave of price hikes when materials were rising in cost making it a little too dear (used to be the expression for expensive). There is a possibility that production by CMC of the Benz might bring down those exorbitant numbers as is pointed out by Ollie, and of course I expect that the that the version CMC will give us will easily compete with Autoart in detail and working features and noble materials…….There is one final point that sadly I must make ,….. as a really long time booster of CMC especially in the area above and beyond that of just parts count, and phenomenal working detail is the build quality .The sturdy construction allowed for the handling of their models with the confidence that they wouldn’t fall apart in your hands as even Exoto might ! Unfortunately , I’ve found the last couple of CMCs i purchased , in particular my Aston Martin DB 4 Zagato had build problems . Among them the doors barely opened , one sliding window came out,and frame slide with it , the trunk latches were badly designed The worst and hardest to repair is the lower control arm came loose from the wheel so the wheels no longer articulate together Very distressing !! Any way ENUFF SAID I’m waiting FO the rill thing so I can be po once mo !!
