Team CMC aka Classic Model Cars has released a few early CAD drawings of their upcoming 1:18, diecast metal with 360 access Porsche 904. If you know CMC, the craftsmanship is usually second to none. The Porsche 904 only survived a few years of production, 1964 – 1965, though its impact is still large with variants of street and race examples.

So far I’m not impressed. It looks way too plasticky and synthetic.

I hope they do a good job this time and don’t screw it up like most of their sports cars & sports racers with many flaws. Of course I’ll wait to see the final production models before buying or condemning. :-)
