CMC Upcoming Mercedes-Benz 1955 SLR Coupé Uhlenau

High-end manufacturer CMC is showing off some prototype images of their upcoming 1:18 Mercedes-Benz 1955 SLR Coupé Uhlenau.  The results thus far are definitely promising.  And you can see a considerable uptick in details over the latest effort from Ferrari.

Very excited about this one, only Mr. Uhlenhaut looks a bit like Homer Simpson with hair, but the important part is the car and it being produced with the highest care and quality like in the old days when CMC last had in shop!

Haha yes, very much Homer Simpson. Luckily they are much better at recreating cars. Funny that you casually mention the ‘uptick in details’ after drooling all over 275 in that review.

Funny write up under the photo:
The Ferrari 275GTB is the latest and the frankly among the best efforts by CMC In terms of quality of execusion/ assembly. CMC also made more detailed models that were crap-tastic, falling apart at mere touch, with defects aplenty. So, not sure more details is better. I am for overall better quality rather than stupid detail count. When it comes to CMC- more details are more opportunities for it to go wrong.. Cheers!
