You’ve got the Exotos and the AA for much less. Both are excellent, and it’s worthwhile being able to see the engine. This’ll be the one, if you want to spend even less.

AutoArt only ever made the 1955 Le Mans winner, not the 1956 cars. The only competition for this is the beautiful but insanely expensive Exoto, for at least 10 times the price (and now discontinued, for the 1956 Le Mans winner). I’ll be picking up CMR’s 1956 winner. Interesting they went for sealed diecast rather than resin.

I prefer the full windscreen, and almost sprung for the Exoto #4 Ecurie Ecosse, but held up because I didn’t want another car with a cellophane tonneau cover (Spark AM DBR1). So this one may be worth getting, depending on the quality of the CMR version.

Please CMR… make a plain version of this model also. A version in British Racing Green, or in any other color (without any livery). You have offered various 1:18 racing Ferrari cars in plain/press version, so it’s logical to also offer this Jaguar in a non-liveried version. I’m sure many collectors will buy that one.

While not a patch on the Exoto D-types they appear quite good for the price. The rear ride height looks to tall. On most side on photos of actual D-types the rear wheel arch dissects about half way between the hub and the top of the rim. Which is how the Exoto models are. And the window/rivet detail looks decidedly cheap. Also not sure why they insist on putting a rear vision/wing mirror on these cars which the actual race cars never had? Also the number 4 on the rear wing of the blue Ecurie Ecosse model should be at an angle not upright. I don’t understand how obvious details like these get missed, even on cheap models?

My friend just like myself I buy jags which are 100% faithful to the real thing, hence why a driver’s mirror when as you say no le mans C or D EVER had one. However, I’m bidding for cmc’s on Ebay at a ridiculously low price and as they say “beggars can’t be choosers”……kind regards Graham

I agree why a wing mirror which the D types NEVER had!!
