We also have the 1952 Porsche 356 America Roadster in Blue and Metallic Green.  And the 1931 Bugatti Type 51 Dubos Coupe in Maroon and Black.  These two should arrive in June 2021 as well.

I have a Jaguar E-Type Series II, coupe and a late 70’s Rolls Royce Silver Shadow that bought years ago because no other manufacturer has produced that cars in 1:18 scale. But the quality is not good enough, particularly in chrome parts and headlights as it looks in the featured models to come. Very sad.

Today I received my first ever Cult Scale Model, the beautiful and elegant Jaguar XJ40 in the classy Solent Blue metallic. As I like very much the original car, I always had a soft spot for this model car and I also wanted it only in this specific colour. Kudos to Cult Models that produce some model cars that are niche and quite rare, which are not manufactured by any other model car company. It is always nice to have a wide variety of choices.

My impressions now that I see it from up close, are positive. It is a very nicely made model car and a quite heavy one too. Its has very nice exterior details and the interior looks great in the tan colour with the wooden painted details in the dashboard and doors. Moreover the solent blue metallic colour looks spot on and compliments greatly this model car. In my opinion, it is the ideal colour for the XJ40. In general, it has a great display presence and as an overall package it works 100% for me.

Obviously there is also room for improvement in some areas and someone can find small flaws here and there, but at the end of the day lets not forget that it is not an Autoart or a CMC model car, it is a rare and niche segment model car that currently is being offered only from Cult Scale Models. And as I said before it is always nice to have a wide variety of choices, so kudos again to CSM for providing us with rare, niche and interesting model cars.
