First Look: AUTOart Pre-Production Race!

AUTOart unveils a few models from there race series.  We have the Mercedes-AMG GT3 and Aston Martin GT3 cars.  We have the confirmed list of both marquees located below.  As for the models, they do show well but lack the excitement of internal access.  The Aston Martin even takes it one step further, the model is 100% sealed.  Look for these in the discount bin soon!

Question for those that collect race/livery.  Do you actually consider adding these models from AUTOart to your collection?  If not why?

Yes I will purchase the Aston!!! I think it’s a great looking car and race car!! Would I prefer access? Of course! But I’m just happy it’s being produced! I constantly question model company’s decisions of the cars they produce and DO NOT Produce!!!!

If you want the Aston, better wait for Spark to make it. Will be just as sealed, but better detailed.

The panel gaps on the AA Aston are to shallow, looks to much like 1 body panel.

I have thought about that, but I continue to question the long term lasting quality of resin models!, will they hold up the same as diecast or composite in a few years? Plus I believe Autoart has better decal work than Spark models.

      • Marcel says:

Decal work on Spark models is not better or worse than AA, some models slighty better, some slighty less good.

For the long term, I’m more concerned about my plastic AA models than about the resin models. I think (hope) both will be fine, but the plastic has softeners that will disappear over time, making the plastic potentially brittle.

Hmmm, no! The Aston has to many flaws, i hope it’s an early sample! Wrong shade yelow, gas cap on wrong side, not LM front bumper, side mirror base wrong color, etc. I’m happy with my spark versions.
