We got some news on future releases from Schuco for 2023. The assortment here is focused on 1:12 and 1:18. Based on the order tracker we’re not sure if resin or metal, but if we’re betting these are resin examples for the most part. That Porsche 916 has definitely caught our eye! I am weirdly excited about the Autobianchi Bianchina Eden roc as my wife has one! In the same color even. I’ll definitely pick one up when they are released.
I wonder how the Valikyrie will compare to the one from Top Speed. I certainly wasn’t expecting Schuco to do it!
We lean the same, as Schcuco has a history of outsourcing models and re-labelling
Schuco announced a cooperation with Spark last year so these new models are essentially made by the latter.
Excellent. At least the resin and sealed effort should be at a higher level than TopSpeed.
Yeah exactly. I think Spark really is another league when it comes to resin models for a more reasonable price.
TopSpeed has a pretty decent range of cars (I love the IMSA models for instance) but their quality control has become rather shocking. I bought the white Lamborghini Countach LPI800-4 a few weeks a ago and the windows were popping out on both sides of the car. And the replacement I got a few days later had exactly the same issue. I think it is unaccaptable especially for the price TopSpeed is asking for now.
While trying to source the Ford Granada I found out about a new brand doing an all-open version of it as one of their first three models: Touring Modelcars is the name here.
Any chance the 1:12 Slr and the 550 be in diecast and full access? They already make a nice 1:18 550 with full access…
Will this info take long to be known?
Anything is possible.
I wonder what happened to the 300SL release in 1:18 with opening parts they had anticipated in the last 2 editions of their catalouge. It looked like a new model and not just the 1:12 by Premium Classixx mistakenly presented as a 1:18.
