While I understand the importance of this car and the “real” historical collectors might be exstatic to get their hands on this one, I think a regular full windshield Cobra would be a better seller. A 1/12 427 Cobra would be a much better seller than both these on any day. (And also be a nice companion to my Franklin Mint L88 Corvette). But, you know, I’ll wait til my boat comes in… From a Kyosho re-issue, maybe?

In 1:12 scale, many “regular full windshield Cobra” models have already been produced….many. GMP has already produced two separate production runs of 289 street cars in several colors, as well as many “full windshield” competition cars. And as far as the 427’s are concerned, well as you know Kyosho has produced several different editions of these as well. I am not a fan of numerous and endless reissues of the same cars. So anyone wanting a 427 or 289 street car should just look to buy one on the secondary market.
