We believe GMP announced this model back in April of this year, today we have a completed painted sample of their upcoming 1:18 Greer-Black-Prudhomme Dragster. As for Prudhomme he won more than 90 percent of the races he entered from 1962 through 1964. The car here was a key accessory of that success – it dominated drag racing in that period with consistent quarter-mile times of less than 8 seconds at top speeds of more than 190 MPH.

Nice, but it should have the iconic twin snorkel body color scoop, not the one shown in the photos
Yes, you are definitely correct! Is there an alternative model or is this an oversight of GMP?
From what we gathered, this is “new tooling” model and intake is diffrent than the orginial release, four hole as shown above.
They did that version earlier. I actually have one, and it’s a great model.
I have a fair number of their dragsters. The Ivo models are terrific as are most of the Garletz cars. I think they were running out of money back then because the issued a blue re-paint of the GBP car and called it the Hawaiian. Nice looking model but not even close to the 1:1. The last Garletz car was just a repaint too. They used a 392 based Chrysler but put the ignition in front and tried to say it was a 426 based engine. It would be nice if they or someone else would do a longer wheelbase, zoom headered model like those often seen at Cacklefests. I realize tooling is very expensive but don’t expect me to spend $130-150.00 on an inaccurate model. Rant over.
