GreenLight 1982 GMC K-2500 Sierra Grande Wideside – White
Let the milking of this mold begin already!! This body style was in production for almost 2 decades. Although this one happens to be an early 1980’s variant, they can essentially make one from the early 1970’a (different front end with vertical front side markers) all the way to one from the late 1980’s (Blacked out grille with 6 headlights). They seem to have done that out of the 1977 Dodge police car, and perhaps they do the same here as well.
I wonder how much retooling and extra cost is needed for Them to turn this into a Blazer/Suburban/Crew cab truck because that would be cool to see if possible.
They noted 4-5 models based on this truck from the get-go. You have to get the R&D $$ back!
To get the mid seventies model you’d have to change the front fenders as well as the front grille, the grille is a plastic item, so I’m guessing it could cost a bit less to do but the fenders… Would be more of a challenge. They could also make the Chevrolet pickups of the same era with some tweaking though.
