      My sentiments exactly!

Indeed. I have a BMW z4 by Kyosho with a folding hard top mechanism in 1:18 scale that cost me around 80€ including shipping. The 812gts in the photos with its sealed everything is not impressive at all to me.

  2. SamtheCat says:

Take a look at the 812 for example. No carbon at all (same goes for the other models), questionable fitment of the tires over the wheels, mediocre fitment of the glass over the headlamps. But hey, it comes with a fancy box and gloves, so it’s totally worth the 3k asking price.

Amalgam must be joking, but the sad thing is that they are not. Even sadder yet, is that some people will buy these thinking they are collectors items or that they are better than they are; and good luck to anyone trying to sell one of these secondary market.

These are way overpriced for what they are which is based on the following criteria: where they are made, too many being produced, poor attention to some aspects, quality – fit issues, molded in details, and lack of any functional parts. By the way, the white cotton gloves don’t work well, since a model can easily slip out of your hands when wearing cotton gloves as well as the cotton catching on various parts and damaging them.

Yes, gloves are a big no no… Live and learn!

    • Mamão says:

Here in Brazil, Amalgam secondary market are going nowhere. Cars get stuck in their collection. Almost bought a MP4/4 1:18 until i finally saw it live. Really disappointing!

By the way, as a sealed models, no need to be handled…even with gloves!!! Nothing to apreciate.

No way. There are 3 or 4 CMCs I’d rather spend the money on before that.

  5. H.S says:

For that price it should be fully opening with some LED lighting elements thrown in too
