KK used to be somewhat decent in the beginning. Now they turned into a wrong-proportion, low detail, horrible assembly quality kinda junk. How can you make a 12th scale look less detailed than 1/64? And not look like the actual car in addition to that? E9 looks terrible. Mismatched panels, oversized details, bad paint.
You’re absolutely right. Whenever KK Scale announces which models they’ll be releasing, I’m always excited, but it takes until the first photos are published, and then the euphoria about the model selection quickly fades.
The models aren’t exactly what you expect; the proportions usually aren’t right; there’s always something off!
I know they’re positioned in the budget model segment, but there are plenty of examples of other brands in this segment that manage to give their models the correct proportions.
It’s a shame for KK Scale that they missed the mark again!
In my opinion, this is the Minichamps matrix of the 1/18 model, but blown up to 1/12.
