Kyosho Lamborghini Countach X 3! Metal & Opening!

Kyosho is digging into the vault again, three new Lamborghini Countach models are in the works and should be on sale in May/June 2025.  Cars include a Lamborghini Countach LP 400 in Red and Yellow – the suggested retail is $260 US.  The final piece is the Lamborghini Countach LP 400 S in White – the suggested retail is $260 US.  There is also room for a White Countach!

Noticed the ghastly faint “Lamborghini” decal on the lower door of the white Countach S. The example in the Kyosho catalog even has this tacky feature. For such a beautiful car why did they have to ruin it? This is certainly a deal breaker if the finished product has this. I’ve looked at numerous images of the Countach S both online and in several books I own dealing with the history and evolution of this model and Kyosho’s rendering is a first. I was excited about this release and could not wait to preorder but now having second thoughts. Even the red and yellow versions are exempt. I would love to see a wingless version of the Countach S, 5000S, or 5000QV reproduced in diecast with full access.

We noticed that too! Do not think it was ever on a Kyosho Lambo release. On the plus side, it should be easily removable without a trace. Does anyone know the significance of the emblem?

Also, what directly is the difference between the above model and their Countach LP-5000QV release? TIA.

I have both the white Countach LP-5000QV with black interior and blue version with white interior that was released sometime between 2005-2010 and the only differences I see are the layouts of the dashboard/center console, engine, and possibly the front bonnet/spare tire compartment. I just cannot understand why Kyosho decides to add those decals on both doors with this particular model. Couldn’t tell you the significance of the emblems to be honest. Hopefully you can just peel them off without damaging the finish.

Yeah real “deal breaker”, just scratch those metal stickers off with your fingernail. BOOM problem solved.

About a decade ago, Kyosho announced wingless LP400S Countach diecast models, one in blue and the other red. They were listed in the catalogue as well. I was particularly looking forward to the blue one as it had a nice tan interior and gold wheels (as did the red). The models seemed to represent the earlier cars pretty well, and they even had the earlier Bravo Campognolo rims.
Suffice to say, they never saw the light of day beyond the apparent prototype stage.

It’s ashamed those two models never came to fruition. There was a Ferrari Testarossa featured in last years Kyosho catalog and sadly it looks like that isn’t happening now.
