Kyosho New Lexus LX570

We’re not sure if this is a dealer edition or new stock to come from Kyosho.  Here is the 1:18 scale, diecast metal Lexus LX570.  We appreciate the overall execution, but are there collectors or owners out there that actually want a scale representation of lethargic SUV?  The Lexus LX570 isn’t easy of the eyes either.  Kyosho we believe your efforts can be better served elsewhere.

Eeh… Yeah. Well, at least its nice to see a couple of their product coming out with fully opening features. More of better subjects, please! 1:12 street Shelby Cobras too please.

A true off roading SUV along with the Range Rover and G-Klasse. I love this, and will certainly add it to my collection! Something different than the sea of hyper cars in the 1:18 world. Love it when they make something out of the blue like this. I understand that it doesn’t happen a lot because of tooling costs, but it’s cool to see!

Surprised they didn’t make it sooner considering how popular this vehicle is in the Mid-East and the Far East in general.

I fully agree with you. Yes here in Middle East, LX570 (=FJ200 Toyota) is very popular. I myself focused on collecting merely “true off-road cars” in 1:18 and this one has to be added to Toyota/Lexus family. I believe we will see more from Kyosho on releasing off-road vehicles (old and new) in near future.

Agreed. It’s great to see collectors like you and I who appreciate these models and not just the everyday bread and butter Supercars that flood the market. I love the Lamborghini Huracan, it’s my favorite super car, but I think the diecast world gets very boring when they make like 366 different versions of the Huracan and Gallardo (along with several dozen different 1969 Dodge Charger’s and 1970 Chevelle’s). Those are great cars, but I only need one in my collection.

I think manufacturers should be praised and commended when they do make cars like the Lexus LX570. A lot of people where I’m at want a Range Rover, but I would take one of these! I agree with you that more like this car to come. This is a very respectable car not because of its badge, but it’s Off Roading abilities. There’s a reason why people in the harshest terrains and climates on earth overwhemingly choose this car over great off raiders like Land Rover and the MB G-Klasse.

For one of the most popular cars in the world, this car is well overdue for its own model in 1:18. Here’s hoping the Nissan Petrol is next. Hope the Toyota Hulix is also in the cards as well. Although it’s highly unlikely because of licensing, I am hoping for some American trucks and SUV’s as well (by any diecast company!)

        • Vachik says:

Yes precisely. Nowadays you see supercar diecasts so frequently – that is a bit boring for us. I may add to your list Toyota Land Cruiser FJ80, FJ 70, FJ60, FJ 62, FJ55 and FJ40. Some of these models (80, 70, 40) were already built in 1:18 but in resin or very poor quality diecasts and some like 55 and 60-62 never built. Quite recently LS announced on forthcoming FJ62, but again in resin.

As an “off-road car” collector, I hope companies changed their plan a bit and try to make these models too.

I actually dig it!! Will be ordering. Great to see something different than the usual supercars which at this point I’ve stopped buying all together.

Totally agreed a monstruous thing, worthy of nightmares…..
And they send the beautiful and classy Century into the cheapo no openings category, I think that probably Lexus are going to have to buy all 1000 pieces I sincerly doubt anybody would pay for such a contraption!!!

This is a great car, actually one of Lexus’s highest high end SUVs but most people, like those above who commented, are not going to buy the model. BUT, if Kyosho made it in 1/64 scale then many collectors (including myself) would consider buying it without breaking the bank, so to speak. That is why the 1/64 scale is quickly rising in popularity because it brings more or less the same enjoyment as 1/18 models. Plus 1/64 scale cars have greater functionality since you can build dioramas with them and “play around” with them and collect as many versions as you desire without spending a lot of money.

So they made the Range Rover sport SVR sealed but this one is Diecast. Go figure. Kyosho used to interest me but they’ve gone downhill. Especially after getting the Almost Real Brabus.

This is a favorite vehicle for realtors to squire their clients around in. Has the spindle grille been toned down? It looks OK here. Is the body trim chromed or painted? Are the grille slats open or solid? The interior looks as if it’s fairly well done. Can’t tell from these pics.

  7. DirtSack says:

I will probably get one. Of course it’s ugly. It’s a Toyota. I think Chevrolet is using a similar grill on some SUV. They called it an aggressive look. I wonder why they stay with the third row seat which folds to the side ? They seem to use up space where they are now.. I guess it might give more space for the rear suspension.
