The McLaren F1 XP5 from LCD models was a long time in the making. The first official photos of the Dark Green exterior have been released. Fans of the car will definitely jump on board with pricing around the $250US mark. On the flip side, we’re surprised LCD did not address the stance, outside this the model looks very good. Inside the the box, one can expect four pieces of luggage and a screwdriver.

The saggy suspension is a shame, as is the fact that – despite being based on a specific car – they don’t seem to have bothered putting a registration plate on it. That’s one of the things that’s making Norev’s recent models look so good, IMO (those guys are on fire lately). A shame that LCD didn’t go the extra step there.
I generally applaud any efforts by LCD, but owning the Autoart McLaren F1 I feel no urge to get the LCD F1.
It looks like an AUTOart. The front fascia (especially the headlights) gives a clear indication of its origins. Also I suspect the the two holes in the rear grill were used for the license plate we can see on the Aa.
I still ordered this green thought with the hope that we can fix the stance.
Imagine how cool it would be if they expanded to McLaren F1 GTR’s driven by Team Bigazzi in 1996. And more detailed than Minichamps for sure.
