Maisto 2021 New Releases

From Maisto in 2021 are some familiar faces, just new colours that accompany the current design in 1:18 scale.  One notable entry is the Ford Mustang Shelby GT500, two new colours are in the mix, Light Blue and White/Blue.  The best news, however, is the 2021 new Ford Bronco is coming in 1:18 and two variants too.  We should see the Bronco in Blue and the Bronco Badlands Edition (no doors) in Blue.  We’re definitely looking forward to this one!

I know they will probably make the 2 door Bronco, but I hope they also make the 4 door one as well. I also wish Maisto would branch out and make more cars outside of the licenses they currently have (Ford, Chevy, Lamborghini, Ferrari, Mercedes, etc). That’s why they only release like 1-3 new molds every year in 1:18 scale.

LICENSES COST MONEY, AND SOME BRANDS ARE PICKY ABOUT DIECAST MODELS. ADDING MORE LICENSES WILL LIKELY SEE INCREASE PRICES FOR THESE BUDGET MODELS/TOYS

Good points. I am curious how these costs have changed through the years though. Maisto used to release more molds, along with having licenses with more manufacturers for their 1:18 line. Also, when you look at their 1:24 line, their portfolio multiples because they have more licenses with more manufacturers and release more molds yearly as opposed to their 1:18 line. Is the 1:24 line really 2-3x more profitable than their 1:18 line to justify such a vast difference in effort/focus?

    Hello
I’ve been collecting maisto 1/64 for over 10 years an have found some really cool things! Recently I was able to find all the mack towtrucks. I think they are a great addition to the lineup, along with the semi tractors!! Very nice. My favorite things to collect from maisto are the haulers of all variations. I missed out on the team transporters and have been hoping for some reissue! They would be a great way to display my collection.
The only negative is the scaling proportions. Some cars and pickups do not match up to trailers and other vehicles in a given set. I really think if you focus on that, your niche in the market would explode because you are the only ones creating certain vehicles variations and colors.
Nevertheless, I am a big fan and I’m looking forward to seeing what’s in store for 2021!
    Have a great day!

    Scott
