there is ‘something’ about the rear fender flares that doesn’t seem quite right…..looking at Ronnie Spain’s book ( GT-40 -An Individual Chassis and Race records) I see no photo that matches the appearance of the Make-up model…if I were to say anything is ‘off” its the shape of the sheet metal on the top rear deck of the car. Was this perhaps modeled after either a kit car or a privately ‘customized’ GT-40 Mk I ? Weird to my eye.
