Well this does look very nice, and the size is certainly impressive. But it begs the question of….Why make it? If it was commissioned by the Porsche factory or some other group to produce some for them, then that makes sense, otherwise it doesn’t.

Actually MLB, for any one who is really into 1/6 scale, good vehicles are few and far between. If it is affordable, to a 1/6er, it would be desirable.

I can’t even imagine the price of this model…

  3. Good question, why make it ? As Matrix team we decided to do this because its real fun to create a large model like this. We did not project much sales on it, but so far it has exceeded our expectations by far if i look at our pre – sales figures….Its a lot of money for a modelcar, but in comparison with other large scale manufacturers we are 3 to 5 times cheaper. Even for a bespoke version where you can order your own 1:1 car in 1:6 ( if you have a 1:1 ofcourse…) price is not an issue as it turnes out.

I guess it’s not a given to have frunk/engine cover doors to open, but even 1/18 full Koenigsegg Regera from Frontiart that cost 1000 USD is full open. Hmm.

No pen parts??? Guys are you crazy?? Why we need this big useless piece of plastic fot this money?? This scale world is going wrong

You know how people will only buy a $25 Timex wrist watch and others enjoy a $5,000 to $10,000 Rolex? They both tell you the time. Consider jewelry, expensive wines, antiques, or any of the thousands of other collectibles that people can and do spend huge money on out there. If you don’t get it, if you don’t understand the collector mind, so be it. But it’s real and a car like this will generate broad interest, whether or not you understand.
By the way, Matrix, my latest project is a Canary Yellow 911R look alike, wide wheels, etc… 😎
