New 1:18 scale Ferraris come from KK Scale. This German based manufacturer provides quality sealed diecast replicas. The latest from the team includes two new Ferraris, the Ferrari 275 GTB/4 NART Spyder 1967 and Ferrari 365 GTC 4 1971. Three colours of each are available, 1000 units or less will be issued. Pricing starts at 69.99 Euro. Not too shabby!

The 365 GTC/4 looks pretty good, especially for the price…and it looks much better than the same car made by Tecnomodel. It’s a win with being a better model at a lower price.
That said, the 275 NART Spyder is not good, it’s a lousy model. So no point in buying unless you are on a very tight collecting budget. BBR’s is far better, but of course carries a much higher price, and still has some mistakes.
wow i am mildly excited about this news… finally someone has answered my prayer for churning out these affordable classic Ferraris sure it is nice to have them with full opening just like what HWE used to give us but that is just a pipe dream now in the current scale model industry. No one is doing them unless CMC wants to tackle on?

Why does every model made have to be limited edition? How does it benfit the manufacturer? All it does is make it harder to be a collector, because if you can’t get the car as soon as it comes out, you either don’t get the car or you have to pay an arm and a leg later. These model companys are ruining this hobby for people who don’t have a ton of money. It is very frustrating!

Across the pond, there is good availability of these KK-Scale “limited edition” diecast models from German websites ck-modelcars and modelissimo. For €5 they deliver to my son in Bavaria and I collect them when I visit at Christmas. Both firms ship worldwide.
