These old Peugeots…. finally! Shame, they will be resin, but better than nothing.

Barchetta is also nice, but I have dilema here – buy more precise in the best orange colour but closed body from Laudo or to wait for opened Norev version…

Roman none of these models is Resin, the Peugeots is sealed close body metal. Since the 300SL is new mold in 1:18 i can’t wait to see what they improve it compere to the old one. since there overall old model is great but more details could make it wow.

      • Roman says:

Thank you for the information. Please, am I correct if I would say that sealed closed body means less details than resin? In other words the model is the same as other Norev models with opening features but without openings?

        • Peter says:

No, closed body doesn’t mean less details than resin. The amount of detail does not depend on the material used. Resin models are usually a bit ‘sharper looking’ than die-casts (mostly because they usually don’t open so can have very tight looking shutlines), but Norev proved they can make die-cast metal models with good looking shutlines as well.

I guess this is a typo, it’s info taken from one of the retailers that shares it on their website. I’d be surprised if Norev revised their 300SL after such a short time and after releasing multiple colors.

I thought the ‘bahama yelllow’ showed in the pictures was a mistake because it’s totally orange. Turns out Porsche ‘bahama yellow’ is totally orange lol :D
