Painted Sample GP Replicas Ferrari F1/125

GP Replicas has unveiled the first painted sample images of their upcoming Ferrari F1 125 race car.  Three models are on tap originally launched back in April 2023.  This example does provide access to the prancing horses under the bonnet.  Enjoy!

    Compared to an older model of the same car from Tecnomodel, this one looks really nice. But I’m still gonna pass on it. I really don’t know why GP Replicas even bother with an opening hood if they then put a downright bad engine inside! The Ferrari 125 F1 had a 1.5-litre V12 with a huge two-stage supercharger in front of the engine block. The engine you see in the pictures is a much larger atmospheric V12 that would have suited the Ferrari 275 F1 (to be released as GP162D, E and F) but is totally unsuitable in the 125 F1 (GP162A and B). There was simply a good reason for the different type designation of these two Ferraris (based on the single cylinder cc capacity), even though they looked quite similar from the outside. If only GP Replicas would finally do a better job of doing their homework! But I’m afraid they’ll never learn…
