PHOTO GALLERY: AUTOart Aston Martin DB11

We don’t think there is enough mid-price point Aston Martin’s available today, so when one comes calling we need to investigate.  Our friend Karsten Weiss wrote a great review a few months back on the DB11, however, we wanted to share some photos of the AUTOart release in Skyfall Silver.

As for the model, we like, we also recommend the piece.  Positives include full 360 access.  The front sweeping hood is definitely worth the price of admission.  Wheels are beautifully executed too!  The negatives, the front hood does provide more than less desirable gap – this is noticeable more where the hood meets the doors within the upper section.  That being said, the front sweeping hood mechanism would provide some design challenges and require a level of tolerance to work.  And the example here wasn’t too bad where one would need to return for a replacement.  Okay, this is subjective of course, as we understand the anal retentiveness of some will vary. LOL.  Enjoy the pics!

Silver is a punishing colour for panel gaps and not the most interesting colour for this car either. Would look great in firesand red.

Sorry, cinnabar orange is the colour I meant. Confused about nomenclature of different manufacturers.

Yes, we absolutely agree. Silver is pushing on panel gaps and getting the correct consistency. Personally, this Skyfall Silver fits the car like a glove, though the colour is subjective in the end.
