PHOTO GALLERY: GT Spirit Porsche 911 (964) Turbo S

Does anyone here love collecting Porsche in scale?  I do!  One of the advantages of resin brands is speed to market and breadth of assortment.  The guys at GT Spirit have embraced the Porsche marque.  Over the years I’ve massed a sizable Porsche collection, 32 of which come from GT Spirit, all in 1:18 scale.  See I would prefer AUTOart’s full opening Porsche 964 and 930 models (which I have).  Both were delivered years ago and yet not one variant on either platform has been seen since.  Step up GT Spirit!  One of the latest acquisitions is the Porsche 911 (964) Turbo S in Yellow.  Sex on wheels!

As for the model, this is again a typical GT Spirt release.  Nice attention to paint, and wheels.  Interior is solid B+, has all the elements I need just not 100% refined.  The stance is possibly too aggressive for an OEM car, but I rather sit too low than too high.  This is a perfect example of why resin/sealed continues to chew away at market share, you cannot ignore something so sexy, especially when you consider the 964 Porsche platform the best ever.  Enjoy the pics!

Well said “sex on wheels”, “the 964 porsche platform the best ever.”
    100 percent.

I have the GT Spirit Porsche 964 Turbo 3.6 in dark blue, in my opinion it is a gorgeous model and I agree, it is absolutely an eye candy!

I love this model. Used to have the Amethyst and I regret getting rid of it.

    Is this a new release?

Gorgeous model. I do like GT Spirit Porsches, but some of their 911s are misses. Their proportions are not consistent, it’s very noticeable when you look at the roof line. Like the Ruf series cars, especially the 993s, where the rear quarters looked too slanted towards the rear. And I recent got the Spark Ruf CTR yellowbird and when I placed it beside the GT Spirit version, the proportions of the GT Spirit was way off, glass house was narrow, it still had the gutters on the roof, and the tail lights looked thinner than the Spark and compared to the real car. I just wished the shape of some of their older 911s are more accurate and consistent.

Absolutely agreed. Some models are better than others. And with the naked eye you can notice these areas off. We just got a sample of the production Spark Ruf CTR – what a beautiful piece! You can clearly see Spark is a level above GTS. We’re going to do a side by side comparison with their earlier pre-production Yellowbird!
