Pop Race 1:64 Mazda 787B 1991 Le Mans 24H Winner! • DiecastSociety.com |
I’m so confused by these 1/64 releases coming from Asia. I have the MotorHelix 787b on order, and now I see there is a Poprace and i see an Inno64 version, all at the same time and all seemingly identical, and similarly priced. The poprace and motorhelix both offering opening parts. (Maybe the Inno64 also?)
It-s not the only time. I bought the 1/64 Red Pig Mercedes SL, and the same situation occurred..
Do they all share moulds, is it the same model with different licences or due to distribution options?
Curious.
I’d love to know more about the various makers of 1/64 models coming out of Asia.
I have the Motorhelix 787B on order, and now i see there is now a Poprace version.
A quick Google shows the original Tomy version, and I see also Inno64 and Queen version (!?) I am not sure if the Inn064 version is opening. A quick look on AliExpress finds a version by Queen whom i have NEVER heard of, and it only appears to offer an opening front section.
How are there so many version of the same car, in the same livery, same scale, at a similar price and offering the same opening parts (Motorhelix and Poprace) coming out at the same time?
I have also seen this with the 1/64 Mercedes SL Red Pig, with various unknown brands offering the same model at the same time. Curious
Do some brands share moulds this is likely. Who, we cannot comment. Also there are manufactures like SUMS that produce models for various brands, including their own Almost Real.
