News from the Runner camp is another tuner, this is the Ferrari F12 DMC. This 1:18 scale replica is mostly static with the option of the front hood revealing the motor. Colours options include Pearl White, Red Corsa and Yellow with each limited to 99 pieces. Priced at north of $500 CND, the execution piece motor-wise is laughable at best. Seriously folks, please educate yourselves, anyone, remotely interested in purchasing this example should think otherwise. Yes, low production and rarity are one thing, but lack of imagination and craftsmanship is another thing. Runner, in short, you should be embarrassed at the result!

My OCD is going absolutely mental when looking at the strip on the white one!
imagine being the guy who looked at it and thought “yeah everything looks fine” and sent the pics out
His name is Stevie. The one with the sunglasses.
No doubt… hard to see from the pics, but looks like there’s not a shred of carbon fiber decal. And no factory info or warning stickers anywhere in the engine bay. The color seems odd on the center of the intakes.
Just added another motor pic. It is closer to lego brick than a scale replica!
The last photo with a closer look at the motor of the red model seems to show “carbon fiber” texture and some wires. So maybe it’s not that bad as it looks from the distance. More detailed photos are required.
It’s horrible. Simply Google and compare 1:1
Wow… after seeing this message, I wanted to compare the real car as well, just for entertainment. This model is a disaster. Way more pathetic than I even first thought. Barely a wire or a hose anywhere to be found, looks as though maybe a fluid reservoir cap or two is missing, and I already understood what you were saying about the lego block similarities… but after seeing the center intakes on the actual car, you are spot on. This manufacturer should be embarrassed.
I still have 25 year old Bburago models with better looking engines!
I do see the carbon fiber now… but that still doesn’t change the obvious. What is the point of even going through the trouble of engineering an opening bonnet if there isn’t any effort focused towards the engine bay
I am of the same opinion. A model like this deserve a bashing!
Collectors need to be educated not to give their money away to manufacturers whose main objective is to rip off people. Price shouldn’t be a deciding factor on whether a model is good or not.
Although the article is a bit older, but just as a short information: The pictures must be a pre-production sample. The production version has a better detailed engine, I have it in my collection.
