Schuco presents their 2021 offering with their latest catalogue. We’ll focus on 1:18 and 1:12 scale. Not much newness overall, some familiar faces with additional colours. The one exception is the 1:18 diecast metal Mercedes-Benz 300 SL in Gull Wing Silver. A welcome addition to those that missed the exceptional offering from Minichamps, when Minichamps actually offered something with merit.
There is also the 1:18 Race transporter making an appearance with Rothmans-Porsche team livery. In 1:12 scale Schuco will offer the Mercedes-Benz AMG Vision Gran Turismo in three colours, they include Silver, Black and Dark Silver. Enjoy!

Indeed. that said, I havea carmin red coupè from the previous batch, and even with the wheels and tyres on the large side compared to the real thing, it’s a model that has some unique features compared to the other 991 model cars in 1:18. seats can be adjusted forwards\backwards the back of the front seats can be moved forward a bit. the fuel tank cap can be opened. there are nice telescopic struts for the trunk in the front, and in the back both hood and the wing can be opened and have nice quality hinges. Yes it’s not perfect, but I believe it has its special place among the 991 models.
Very exciting news that Schuco will be offering the gullwing in 1:18. That rear quarter of the greenhouse is very tricky to reproduce, and it will be fascinating to see Schuco’s interpretation. Hope several other colors besides silver will be offered. They could also feature a plaid interior, as tartan seats would’ve been the standard ones being offered on this car.
I hope Schuco makes 1974 RSR 3.0 someday. I want that model so badly, in diecast.
