Solido 2017 Catalogue

Solido the budget friendly brand has issued their 2017 catalogue.  Not a whole lot coming down the pipeline, but we like the 1:18 Porsche 911 RSR in street and race trim.  Both are definitely a welcomed addition.  Chick on the link below to view their entire catalogue.

Those 1:18 Porsche’s look very enticing, and on the flip side….. I can’t believe they are wasting more money and time with more Cobra’s…..

  2. spikyone says:

Forgive my ignorance, but didn’t a bunch of other companies already do those Porsches? Most of us could write a list of models we’d like to see in 1/18 and yet the manufacturers keep churning out these “me-too” products. What with the never ending price increases it’s no wonder people are getting disillusioned with the hobby.

    • MLB says:

Agreed…. yes too many Porsche’s these days. I was specifically looking at the Martini race version, which I admit I have a soft spot for.

  3. Inquisitor says:

Agreed about the Cobra, although the overwhelming majority are the 427. There is a distinct shortage of 289 versions – race and road. I think the reason Solido are releasing yet more 911 models is for the ‘garage forecourt’ market. Many such models are available for less than €50…….

I agree about the Cobra, but with all the Kyosho versions, and I think maybe couple of others, still seems o be too many of them. And yes, would be great to see some good and not made before 289 competition versions.
