The BIG SHOW Cancelled!

The BIG SHOW is yet again cancelled.  You know, 2022 Nuremberg International Toy Fair.  This is where most of the major players in the industry spill the beans on their 2022 assortment, I guess we’ll have to wait for a virtual tour this year…

We’ll do our best to keep pace with the latest and greatest from the hobby as the news feed is released.  What are your thoughts on the possible newness for 2022? And what would you like from the hobby?  What is the primary focus, selection, price, material or scale??

I only collect 1/18 scale opening models. I prefer diecast metal but still watch for certain autoart releases. Just not like I used to. Just today I received their Honda NSX type r (na2) in long Beach blue pearl….OMG!!!! You can drowned in the color… I’ll be watching for whenever they release the GTR R35 Nismo. I received a message from the overseas distributor I pre-ordered my Motorhelix diecast R34 Z-tune from that production is complete and he should have it for shipping in hopefully a week. Other than that I’m hoping Almost Real drops another Zonda color, like the Tricolore. And maybe their Brabus G63. Basically like the one motorhelix makes in sealed resin. Also it would be nice if BBR would contract out a few more new Ferraris in full access. Preferably the 812 or the SF90

P.S. you guys have the announcement of that AR Brabus G63 as an upcoming release exactly one year ago. But of course there wasn’t even a hint from AR as to expected release date…smh. They make a good model, but they definitely are not in any hurry to do anything……

AR has made a good amount of promises, when and if we will see them all, we’re not sure. We will say, we love their level of detail and we believe most collectors really enjoy their releases. Its nice to see a handful of good models then nothing at all.

Yes, lovely, might make it into my collection too!

BBR will release a fully opening Maserati MC20

The toy fair is becoming less relevant to the diecast industry – even prior to COVID, most brands (apart from AutoArt) were using social media to release news on announcements and were not waiting for the toy fair. The Toy Fair was awesome fir diecast 10 years ago. Could care less even it commences in 2023 – the last few were disappointing fir diecast collectors.
