Almost Real Getting their Bentley On!

If you’re a fan of Bentley and old school diecast metal, the team at Almost Real a few new specimens that might interest you.  The first is the 1:18 Bentley Mulsanne 2017 in Light Emerald Over Midnight Emerald exterior – this one is full opening with great attention to detail inside and out.  The second is the 1:18 Bentley Mulsanne Speed 2017 in exterior Julep with chrome wheels.  The Black and Yellow interior is very fitting, truly a lovely combo!  Last, a new colour for their version the 1:18 Bentley Continental GT3 R 2015, we present Cumbrian Green.  Our team agrees, another delicious exterior choice.  We reviewed this one back in December 2017 (White), it did check many boxes off in the positive department.  Read the complete review HERE.

Firstly, I love Bentleys. Having said that, the headlights on Kyosho’s Mulsanne Speed were more refined, better pronounced than on these samples. Interior is excellent as far as can be seen. Door gaps still seem a little wide.on the yellow, but fine on the GT3R. So better avoid light colours.

Re: the headlights, I believe Kyosho made the pre-2016 car which had different headlights – Bentley upgraded to adaptive LEDs for the 2016 version, I think previously the main beams were HID. AR’s look fine for what they’re replicating IMO.

I am mainly referring to the recessed small LEDs on the bigger diameter lights and the smaller diameter light (only a shiny chromed plastic disc). Independent of the changes in the original´s design (actually the crossbar reading “Bentley” is fine), Kyosho´s seems executed better

    Compare here: https://diecastsociety.com/review-kyosho-mulsanne-speed-1/
Plus, mesh grille seems only printed-on not break-thru photoetched at fog Lights ant behind main grille.

Both the larger headlight and the smaller light are very different between the two versions though; even the recessed lights around the edge of the main headlight. The lights on the 2016 are far simpler than the earlier version.
