AUTOart Porsche 911 Carrera 2.7 RS – White/Green

Not sure who made the decision on bringing back the Porsche 911 Carrera 2.7 RS (above example Grand Prix White w/ Green stripes) when the based mould for the 930 and 964 platforms in most forums is more desirable scale.  Though we will give AUTOart the nod for fixing the issues with their original release.  However, most will be happy with the rare win from Minichamps of the same from back in the day.

Looks very nice, I see they fixed the front wheels size and added the “frunk” with spare tire. I have the old release and deffinetely needed improvement in many ways, especially frustrating was the rear wheel alignment mine has crooked back axle. Hope they release more colors.

The Porsche Carrera RS 2.7 was released in 1972, so last year this model was celebrating 50 years. Maybe Autoart wants to celebrate too by producing this modelcar in this white/green livery. The Porsche factory released a 992 model last year in this livery which is a hommage to the “older” one.

Maybe… If you look at the European site, other colour options are possible coming. And the above was scheduled for 2022 arrival. Oh AUTOart!

If I remember correctly, the old white/green release was “dealer only” and is really sought – after right now. So thank to AutoArt for releasing it again and i better form with better detail.

Maybe it’s time to sell my Minichamps RS 2.7 for a profit and get the better model.

Good news! I hope they fixed the slope of the back too as it looks funny on the diecast release. It’s hard to tell from the pics because of lens distortion.

Looks like Minichamps will be re-releasing their versions as well. It’s always good to have choices.
