More Bugattis in fantasy colours, this time with a doll! Woo! /sarcasm

Nothing appealing on that list, for me. Last year’s CMCs were simply not good enough; the D50 and C Type came nowhere close to justifying the prices that CMC are asking these days. They will need to do far better this year if they don’t want to alienate their customers.

Agreed. I’ve been awaiting both of those cars for some time, but canceled once I started seeing them. Just not worth that kind of money.
Unfortunately, I don’t anticipate the new products being any better.

The Bugatti are not fantasy colors they are based on actual race liveries. Not sure why they included the female driver figurine (Elisabeth Junek). Poor figurine.

In a sea of resin and plastic CMC still makes some of the best models out there but yeah they are expensive. Since they always end up being discounted you have to be patient.

      • BVR says:

They are indeed based on actual race liveries, but unfortunately they do not represent a specific original: Many of the liveries they released and will release were actually on the supercharged Type 35B model, recognisable through a wider radiator grille and a bonnet with more louvres and a round hole in it. This is also probably why they don’t specify the women’s names in their promotion. And it is also why I haven’t bought the #12 British model, as the livery should represent the first Monaco GP winner, but which in reality also was a 35B. This is a pity, because with a little effort this would not have been a problem for CMC to replicate and they would have been much more accurate.

        • Atalante says:

Very good point about the CMC being a type 35 not a supercharged 35B. A pity if they make liveries with the wrong version of the car.
