We haven’t heard much from Cult Scale Models since our introductory feature back in February of this year. The team is now back with four new models, each in 1:18 scale, and fabricated in high-quality resin with photo-etched parts. The above feature is the classic Volkswagen 181. Other new models include the 1968 Aston Martin DBS, the 1985 Aston Martin Lagonda in a beautiful Green Metallic, and finally the Mini 750 Pick-Up. There is no release date available today. Stay with us for the latest news!

Boy-o-boy, we have been waiting so long for decent 1/18 models of AM and now that they are finally here, what do they produce? Yellow and dark (British Racing?) green. Two of the most horrible colours out there. I think they need some serious advice on color schemes. I wouldn’t want to have them if they handed them out for nothing. Am I the only one?
I don’t agree with British Racing Green being labelled as a “horrible colour”? As a fan of both Jaguar and Aston Martin, BRG is the quintessential colour when it comes to such famous british marques. Agree with you on the yellow though, unless its a model paying homage to Belgium Racing Yellow like the Le Mans D types produced by Exoto.
Agreed, it may be more of a persoal taste, but it just does not look good on the Lagonda (imo).
Really great, to see 1:18 Aston Models being produced by now several manufacturers!
The yellow is called Bahama yellow and clearly is THE colour the DBS in “The Persuaders”, a popular TV-series in the 70ies, with Lord Bret Sinclair and Danny Wild had. Therefore definitely a suitable, although not by everyone liked, colour.
Whereas a sporty dark metallic green is definitely not a colour for a Lagonda. I have never seen one in such a colour, neither on photos nor in real life. For this Series 3, I think a shade of blue met. (light or dark) would be most popular with everybody. If green (I do love green), it should have been a lighter green or Old English Pewter. As well a red tone might have looked elegant (but maybe as well not to the taste of a majority).
