More from GreenLight Collectibles with the classic Ford Mustang. Today the team unveiled and diecast specimen with full access, the 1:18 Ford Mustang Coupe – Indy Pacesetter. Greenlights confirms the model will arrive in Q4 2020, just in time for Christmas.
About the Ford Mustang Coupe – Indy Pacesetter “For its first two model years, the Ford Mustang had the new pony car market to itself, selling nearly 1.3 million cars from 1965-66. General Motors got into the game in 1967 with the Chevrolet Camaro, which as a new model, landed the coveted marketing exposure as the pace car for the 1967 Indianapolis 500. To counter the Camaro’s publicity in the Indianapolis area, Ford masterminded a special Indy Pacesetter Mustang hardtop, promoting it as a springtime “Pacesetter Sale” to emphasize the point that Ford Mustang sales continued to “set the pace” for the new market segment.”
