** UPDATE ** Well, a representative or should we say European distributor of KengFai, NZG.de clearly stated in an email we received today, this is NOT a KengFai model. The same was verified by KengFai too. Go China go!
In certain circles, the Rolls-Royce Cullinan is the pinnacle of SUVs. Those that fancy the opportunity to own one in scale just might get the opportunity soon. We are told the photos here show the upcoming example from KengFai . Colours include Black, Silver Black and Dark Green along with a diecast metal exterior with full 360 access. These are in fact Dealer Edition models with the first to arrive in late April 2021.
Product# TBD
Hope the QC on this one is better than their previous models. But regardless, a fully open Cullinan is one hell of a model that is hard to resist.
Cant wait to see more details on this one. I also hope it stays at the current pricing of their current offerings.
Black, silver and green will be available in China in 2 weeks. These are dealer edition versions and the price will be 279USD. It seems too much for me.
What is the source? We’re hearing this may not be KengFai release.
Carloverdiecast store just add the items for pre-order.
Thanks.
PS – That is one of the worst retail websites I’ve navigated ever!
If these are dealer editions they will sell through Rolls Royce dealerships. Otherwise same retailers that sell/sold the G-Patton and Lykan Hypersport by Kengfai.
BTW, I find the orange interior hideous. May fit some modern Roller customers´ taste, though. And yet there is room to spare for future Mansory interpretations in scale.
Just thinking of Mansory makes me want to retch. . .
The SUV or specific interior colour isn’t for all.
I saw this real object. It’s of poor quality. It’s not as exquisite as kyosho!
Could you elaborate? I am thinking of getting my hands on this one.
Could you have just seen the prototype?
If Almost Real can make this will be best, but no one is sure which brand will make the same car.
If you go for the sealed resin version, it’s more than double of this price.
Kengfai
Hallo Wei Li:
Warum druckt Keng Fai denn nicht seinen Namen auf das Modell. ?
Not sure.
The appearance is a little inaccurate, The texture of the interior is poor,The engine is similar to kyosho, There is no seat function in the trunk.
The price in the Chinese market is 260 US dollars, which I think is very expensive.
@DS Team. i am not affiliated with CLDC, and indeed i find the CLDC (Carloverdiecast) website is not user friendly. However the best part of CLDC is their fixed price (usually at dealer retails) and excellent on time shipping and updates. I have purchased over 100 models in past 5 years, and only in 2 cases there were QC issues, and those concerns were addressed promptly. Wish they could switch to a better look and feel for their site. :)
My buying experience with CLDC was this https://diecastsociety.com/review-kengfai-g-patton-aka-ussv-rhino-gx/ and with them making zero response to any issues I raised means, I will avoid them if I can and only buy from them if I am really desperate. As Keng Fai models are available through Schuco there is no need for despair in this case ;-)
Regarding this RR, i am also finding the price a bit high. Within the last one year, the diecast full opening models have steadily crept up on the price ladder. While LCD’s excellent Range Rovers were available at sub 100 USD range, Kyosho did the Land Cruiser 60s at below 170. Then BM creations started offering tiny Suzukis but at USD 186. Now Cullinan is not only 200+ rather reaching 300 mark. I guess with the trend of high price set by autoart, the other makers are simply doing a catch up game at the cost of us the collectors.
True, AUTOart started the madness: I remember that I cringed over paying 280 Euros for their World Record Edition Bugatti Veyron Super Sports in 2014 which meant a significant premium over the normal Super Sports that isn´t all that different. I paid 150 Euros for their production Veyron (2010). For the Koenigsegg CCX 134 Euros (2010). The Pagani Zonda R 195 Euros (2011), the Huayra 260 Euros in 2015. For AA´s Aventador I paid 170 Euros (2015), for their Reventon 85 Euros (in 2009), for the Maybach 57 the Mercedes dealership asked 60 Euros (2003), the diecast DeLorean as one of their last diecast models was considered expensive at 200 Euros in 2015, because they had difficulty with the stainless steel finish, before they went composite promising better quality for at reduced cost … and we all now where this has taken us …
At the same time we have seen Almost Real (https://diecastsociety.com/review-almost-real-mercedes-benz-maybach-s600/) and recently LCD beat AUTOart both in quality and in price and doing so in diecast to prove what can be done, while still making good profits.
Jay Li is a unscrupulous businessman, very greedy, he wants to monopolize the market.
Found more photos on CLDC. Both the exterior and the interior look ok except for the air vents which are depicted with stickers…for a $300 model, that’s a huge letdown.
Hello there !
I just received the silver/black version and hopefully i will upload within the next few days some pictures of it . Dimensions wise , i measured it and keeps strictly the 1:1 model , verified through Wikipedia .
Model is very accurate with a weight of approx. 1.8 Kgs and it seems that is a derivative of KYOSHO mentality or better KENG FAI technique . BTW this was verified by the Chinese supplier . Total cost incl. shipping from China to Kuwait amounted at USD $345 . For sure it is a jewel if your collection is in Rolls Royce models .
Finally manufacturer’s details are nowhere to be found either on the undercarriage of the model or anyplace on the box .
