AUTOart´s Ford GT was reviewed long ago HERE, so no review is required. The last rendition of the GT by Ford replicated by AUTOart here is a ´22 Heritage Edition that pays tribute to the efforts of Alan Mann Racing in Byfleet, England, who were making a GT Mk1 Lightweight version back in 1965/66, before being told to run Mk2s in Le Mans´66 instead. The original Alan Mann Lightweight has never been done in scale 1:18, so I modified a Solido Mk1 into that car and tried to replicate Ford´s official pictures of the Heritage Edition and the car it pays tribute to. For anyone owning Norev´s “Alan Mann” Race Transporter loaded with GT40s from that era, this (or the sealed GT Spirit version) is a must. Enjoy!

Karsten, thanks for sharing the pics. Love the exchange of old and new… As for the model and linked REVIEW, it’s a decent effort from AUTOart. Though I will say this, both modern gens of the 1:1 Ford GT looks much better in person!
Is the air brake position of the wing possible?
I haven’t dared trying hard enough, it’s all too delicate on the composite. Operating the doors is nightmare, very flimsy. I fully understand if anyone prefers the GT Spirit at a third of the price.
No sir. Up and down only.
Phew, glad I haven’t tried harder!
Actually, operation instructions only give up and down instructions, so it’s not meant to tilt although looking the part.
Ford hit it out of the park with this design — old AND new. Your pictures are superb.
Very cool! Love this design.
