The 1:18 scale Aston Martin DP-100 Concept from Model 777 is one of two models that aroused our interest over their short tender. The brand doesn’t flood the market with the typical street or sportscar offerings but has a taste for the unique piece. The last model our team reviewed was back in 2017 and featured the 1:18 Mercedes-Benz AMG Vision Gran Turismo. A truly outrageous vehicle, we loved it!
As for the model, the packaging presentation remains the same as their Mercedes-Benz AMG Vision Gran Turismo. Click the link above to learn more. The overall execution of the falls short of its predecessor though, we find overall refinement of the model on whole lacking. Meaning, the exterior lines aren’t cleaned and prepped correctly for final paint and slight glue residue in various elements of the window trim doesn’t help either. With the model being a static one and interior not a factor due to blacked-out windows the focus on final prep should have been a priority. Maybe that’s why we found it in the discount bin, less than 100 Euros. On a positive front, the uniqueness factor can’t be discounted and the vehicle does present some serious shelf presence. Enjoy the pics!
