Some interesting models in that line-up, Spark joining TSM in making a 1/18 Bentley GT3 and producing the Renault F1 – slow, but looks good. If they can see their way clear to making a 1/18 of that Renault Alpine A442 (preferably the LM winner), I’ll be a very happy man.

  2. MLB says:

It would also be nice if Spark actually got around to producing some or all of the models they announced 1, 2, and 3 years ago!

With this big list of new releases, they will of course satisfy many collectors, but at the same token, they will once again, offer nothing of interest for many other collectors, myself included.

And… my same comments apply to TSM and others who announce models, that never go into production, and then make more models that many collectors don’t want.

I have scratched too many models off of my want list due to model manufacturers not producing what they announce and promise they will make. I guess I just saved more money again.

  3. Porsche993 says:

I wonder when the 1999 996 GT3 is coming out, and if it’s a new mold. IIRC Spark released the 996 GT3 RS more than 10 years ago and it didn’t necessarily look accurate. I believe the models that are being sold all over right now is a re-mold and that one looks more like the part, although I question the asymmetrically shaped side mirrors and the lack of PCCB and yellow calipers. I hope they re-mold the OG GT3 using 3D scanners as that’s the only model that was manufactured by multiple companies with less than stellar results. The PMA one looks like a toy and the Vitesse one… well, it’s a Vitesse. :P

  4. Griff_Jones says:

Shame Spark seems intent on ruining all their forthcoming classic F1 releases by putting their ‘plastic blob’ driver figures in the cockpit. Was really looking forward to March CG901…now not so much :(

  5. Roberto says:

I have actually bought 3 models from this release. Very impressed. The Patron Ligier is awesome. The Viper Exchange 1:18 is also excellent. I love the WEC and WeatherTech cars they have been releasing but I do wonder why no Rebellion cars in 1:18? They are always so stunning.
